Providing quality, compassionate care and safety technology solutions to preserve independence and contribute to a better life.

About Us

Comfort Keepers is widely recognized as a leading provider of quality in-home care to seniors and other clients who need help with the activities of daily living. Our goal is to enrich the lives of our clients as we enable them to maintain the highest possible level of independent living in their own home for as long as possible.

The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home care, who we call Comfort Keepers, are carefully selected, screened and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.

We’ve spent over a decade helping older adults live happy, independent lives in their own homes by providing them with companionship, in-home care and safety solutions. Caring individuals we call Comfort Keepers® serve seniors through local offices that respond to your needs.  All of which contributes to your wellbeing, safety and a better quality of life.

Comfort Keepers

Comfort Keepers are professional and well trained. What truly sets them above other in-home caregivers, however, is their natural gift for caring for others. They have a heart for caregiving—and Comfort Keepers has a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify them from those less devoted.

Only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of care—and become Comfort Keepers. Our Comfort Keepers also pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. Also, they’re bonded, insured and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families—and because they are Comfort Keepers employees, we take care of their payroll taxes.

To achieve the most favorable outcome for each Comfort Keepers client, we carefully match Comfort Keepers and clients whose personalities and interests—as well as skills and needs—mesh well.  This forms the basis of strong, healthful relationships.

Comfort Keepers work as trusted partners with family caregivers to provide their loved ones a complete in-home care solution to promote independent living.

Interactive Caregiving: Interactive Caregiving (ICG) is at the heart of Comfort Keepers in home caregiving approach.  Our goal is to allow our seniors to live in their own homewith the highest quality of life. Interactive Caregiving allows us to help our client stay mentally, physically and emotional fit by “doing with” instead of “doing for”. Studies have shown that care when delivered interactively can help maintain the client’s mental, physical and emotional well being.

Companion Care:  Companionship Care is more than a sitter. It’s a true friend that cares about the clients well being. They provide serves needed to keep the senior safe and secure in their home. Companionship Care consists of conversation, exercise and recreational activities, light house cleaning, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders, and relief for the family.

Personal Care:  Personal Care is a higher level of care than Companionship Care and consists of hands-on care. Certified Nursing Assistants or Personal Care Assistants provide Personal Care that includes bathing, grooming, feeding, transferring and hygiene care.

Personal Emergency Response System: Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is our in home response system that uses the latest technology to summon help in case of an emergency. We use the system in two ways, one is to help a senior who may not be ready for a caregiver but would like some additional security and the second way is to “bridge the gap” between the times that a caregiver is scheduled.

Specialized Care Services

Dementia Care

Many of the Comfort Keepers offices provide care for clients that are experiencing symptoms of dementia.  Some clients may experience momentary confusion or lapses in memory, but others are dealing with advanced stages of dementia conditions.  For those that provide this specialized care, specially trained Comfort Keepers will provide activities that can improve a person’s quality of life such as music and other activities to stimulate the senses.

End-of-Life Care

Our compassionate Comfort Keepers come to the aid of individuals who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We help them and their families with emotional and moral support as well as helping out around the home and providing personal and companionship care—whatever is needed.

Comfort Keepers can support the family directly or work in partnership with a hospice agency or medical provider to fully meet the family’s needs.

Our ultimate goal is to help families make the most of their time together, helping to lighten the burden at a very difficult time. Through respite care, we give family caregivers needed rest.

And we can continue to help after a loved one’s passing. Our Comfort Keepers  help families deal with the grief and assist with tasks such as organizing personal items and moving belongings—or just being there to listen if family members need to talk.

Veterans Care Programs

Veterans or surviving spouses of veterans in need of in-home care may qualify for benefits through the Veterans Administration. Comfort Keepers is proud to serve those who have served our nation. We assist veterans and their spouses in the application process and provide in-home care services for approved participants in VA programs.
